Residential Property Fee Earner – Future Head of Department

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Residential Property Fee Earner to manage a full caseload of conveyancing matters. This full‑time position offers the chance to develop into the Head of Residential Property department for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Manage residential property transactions from instruction to completion, including freehold, leasehold, transfers and remortgages.
• Maintain high standards of client care and build lasting relationships.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders and third parties professionally and proactively.
• Draft, review and oversee all conveyancing documentation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and firm procedures.
• Contribute to the growth and reputation of the residential property department.

Required profile

• Previous experience handling a residential conveyancing caseload (paralegal, fee earner or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction to completion.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently on a busy caseload.
• A legal qualification (LLB, CILEx, LPC, SQE or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.

Required skills

• Proficiency with case management systems.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office.
