Residential Property Lawyer

About the role

We are seeking a Residential Property Lawyer to join our team in Truro. The successful candidate will manage a diverse conveyancing portfolio and provide expert advice to a wide range of clients across the South West.

Key responsibilities

• Manage conveyancing cases from instruction through to post‑completion, including sales, purchases, equity release and right‑to‑buy transactions.
• Handle specialised matters such as lease extensions, freehold and leasehold conversions, new‑build and affordable housing, and property auctions.
• Deal with complex issues including creation of easements, adverse possession, and relinquishment of covenants.
• Develop and maintain relationships with introducers and other professional contacts.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of conveyancing experience within a law firm environment.
• Qualified solicitors, legal executives, licensed conveyancers or non‑qualified fee earners with relevant case‑handling experience.
• Strong client‑focused attitude and ability to manage a varied caseload independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in residential conveyancing processes and relevant legislation.
• Knowledge of equity release, shared ownership schemes and leasehold management.
• Ability to draft and review legal documents related to easements and covenants.
