Residential Property Lawyer – Up to £50k DOE

About the role

The Legists are seeking an experienced Residential Property Lawyer to join their Essex office. You will manage a full and varied caseload of conveyancing matters, delivering high‑quality service from instruction through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, re‑mortgages, transfers of equity, shared ownership, new‑build and Help to Buy transactions.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders and other solicitors throughout each matter.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and firm procedures.
• Provide clear, timely updates to clients and support junior team members as needed.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Legal Executive with at least 2 years of full‑caseload conveyancing experience.
• Strong client‑management abilities and excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively with both clients and colleagues in a fast‑paced environment.
