Residential Property Paralegal (Full‑Time)

About the role

Join our Residential Property team in Leatherhead and provide clear, expert support to clients throughout the conveyancing process. You will work closely with fee earners, handling a variety of administrative and client‑facing tasks in a supportive, fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct support to fee earners, preparing correspondence, documents and transcribing digital dictation.
• Manage filing systems, including opening, closing, storing and retrieving client files.
• Prepare and dispatch mail, emails and faxes, and arrange appointments and meetings.
• Set up conference rooms, provide refreshments and ensure meeting spaces are tidy.
• Interact with clients and agents in person and by phone, delivering professional and friendly service.
• Prepare completion statements and assist with post‑exchange and pre‑completion formalities.
• Complete online forms such as SDLT and Land Registry submissions.
• Obtain information from local authorities and handle post‑completion registrations.
• Maintain confidentiality of all firm and client documentation.
• Operate the firm’s Case Management System and uphold high document presentation standards.

Required profile

• Legal background with some residential property experience.
• Strong IT proficiency and high accuracy.
• Professional communication skills with clients, agents and colleagues.
• Excellent customer care, responsiveness and attention to service.
• Initiative, willingness to take responsibility and a proactive approach.
• Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and prioritise workloads.
• Commitment to the firm’s values and a genuine interest in legal work.
