Residential Property Solicitor – Conveyancing Lawyer

About the role

The Legists are seeking an experienced Residential Property Solicitor to join their busy conveyancing team in Wiltshire. You will manage a varied caseload of residential transactions, guiding clients through every stage of their property journey.

Key responsibilities

• Handle residential sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity from instruction to completion.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts and related property documents.
• Provide clear, practical legal advice to clients and liaise with estate agents, lenders and other solicitors.
• Conduct property searches, ensure regulatory compliance and maintain accurate case records.
• Support junior colleagues and contribute to supervision when required.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Chartered Legal Executive.
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in residential conveyancing.
• Proactive, detail‑focused and committed to delivering high‑quality client service.

Required skills

• Experience drafting and negotiating residential property contracts.
• Strong knowledge of conveyancing procedures, searches and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage a full caseload independently while collaborating within a team.
