Residential Property Solicitor – Somerset

About the role

The Legists are seeking an experienced Residential Property Solicitor or Legal Executive to join their expanding property team in Somerset. You will manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters, delivering high‑quality service to a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Manage residential conveyancing transactions from instruction to post‑completion.
• Handle sales, purchases, transfers of equity, remortgages and lease extensions.
• Conduct title investigations and property searches.
• Draft and review contracts and supporting documentation.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders and other third parties.
• Provide practical legal advice while maintaining high client‑care standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of 3 years PQE.
• Proven experience handling residential conveyancing matters independently.
• Strong technical knowledge of residential property law and conveyancing procedures.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload efficiently with minimal supervision.
