About the role

We are seeking a skilled Retail Butcher to join a respected farm shop in the Berkshire countryside. You will prepare, present, and sell premium meat products while delivering a first‑class customer experience in a busy, friendly environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and portion a variety of meat cuts to high standards.
• Maintain well‑stocked, attractive displays throughout the day.
• Provide expert advice and recommendations to customers.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
• Support colleagues and contribute to a positive team atmosphere.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience working as a butcher.
• Strong knife skills and thorough product knowledge.
• Good understanding of food hygiene practices.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Positive, team‑focused attitude.
• Full UK driving licence (required for rural location).
