Retail Consultant – 8 hour Fixed‑Term (Gateshead)

About the role

Join The Body Shop in Gateshead as a Retail Consultant, working an 8‑hour shift pattern on a fixed‑term basis. You will support the store management team to maximise sales and profit while delivering the brand’s renowned ethical beauty experience to every customer.

Key responsibilities

• Support store management in achieving daily sales targets and profitability through proactive customer engagement.
• Deliver exceptional, knowledgeable customer service on the shop floor, guiding shoppers to products that match their needs and values.
• Uphold The Body Shop’s values, vision and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, well‑stocked, and visually appealing store environment in line with brand guidelines.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
• Previous customer‑service or retail experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and listening abilities to understand and respond to customer needs.
• Genuine passion for beauty, cruelty‑free products and the retail industry.
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends and holiday shifts as required.
