Retail Store Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager to lead a charity shop in Brentwood. This full‑time, 12‑month fixed‑term role offers the chance to drive sales while supporting a meaningful community cause.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, inspire and develop a team of staff and volunteers to deliver excellent customer service.
• Achieve sales, profit and KPI targets, driving overall store performance.
• Act as the local face of the charity, engaging with the community and encouraging donations.
• Oversee store operations, including health & safety, merchandising and visual displays.
• Manage performance, recruitment, rotas and training for a diverse team.

Required profile

• Previous management experience in a commercial retail store or charity shop environment.
• Commercially minded, target‑driven and motivated by strong results.
• Strong understanding of customer service and visual merchandising.
• Confident in managing performance, recruitment, rotas and training.
• Proactive, adaptable with a can‑do attitude.
