Retail Store Manager - New Opening

About the role

Apricot is looking for an experienced Store Manager to lead its new store opening at Touchwood Shopping Centre, Solihull. The post is full time and permanent, with a typical pattern of Wednesday and Sunday off, starting from £32,800 per annum. The manager will take ownership of the store's day-to-day running and performance, build a strong team and create an exceptional customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the performance and day-to-day running of the store
• Drive sales and maximise commercial opportunities, including identifying opportunities within the local area
• Manage store KPIs, stock performance and take action where needed
• Act as a brand ambassador and represent Apricot positively to customers and the local community
• Lead by example with a hands-on, collaborative approach and maintain high store presentation standards
• Recruit, onboard, coach and develop the team, and manage performance and issues appropriately
• Create a positive, inclusive and supportive working environment
• Complete paperwork and administration accurately and on time, minimise avoidable costs and risks, and ensure in-store health and safety
• Work closely with the Assistant Store Manager and the wider Support Office team

Required profile

• Ideally previous Store Manager or senior retail management experience
• A strong track record of leading and developing teams
• Experience managing sales targets and KPIs, and with recruitment and people management
• Commercial awareness, results focus and excellent customer service skills
• Passion for fashion and an interest in the brand
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility, adaptability and a willingness to learn
