Retail Supervisor (Full‑Time)

About the role

Farmfoods is seeking a Retail Supervisor to join its Altrincham store on a permanent, full‑time basis. You will work 39 hours across five days, supporting the store manager and ensuring a smooth, customer‑focused operation.

Key responsibilities

• Support the store manager in leading the team and delivering excellent customer service.
• Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager’s absence, including opening and closing procedures.
• Handle cash, place orders, manage deliveries and maintain a safe, clean, and tidy environment.
• Develop and coach retail assistants, fostering a strong team culture.
• Control operational costs such as shrinkage, waste and payroll.

Required profile

• A friendly, positive and hard‑working attitude.
• Strong people skills with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Trustworthy and reliable, able to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Previous supervisory, team‑lead or management experience in retail or a similar sector is advantageous but not essential.
