Right to Buy Adviser (Temporary, London)

About the role

The Right to Buy Adviser will join a Housing Association’s Home Ownership Support team on a three‑month fixed‑term contract. Based in London, you will act as the conveyancing specialist, guiding customers through the purchase, staircasing and related property transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of contact for customers, providing expert advice on low‑cost home ownership products and proactively progressing transactions.
• Lead all legal and administrative functions related to property transfer, disposal and void‑unit viewings.
• Manage a complex caseload, ensuring deadlines are met and data recorded in line with compliance and audit requirements.
• Support Home Ownership Support Officers and Operations staff through supervision, training sessions and escalation handling.
• Identify and champion continuous‑improvement opportunities, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Promote income‑generating options such as staircasing, loft conversion, lease extension and loan redemption.
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints and service recovery within designated timescales.

Required profile

• Experience in conveyancing, property transfer or related housing advisory roles.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and policy affecting right‑to‑buy schemes.
• Ability to work independently, juggle competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
