Royalties Accountant - 6 Month FTC

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Royalties Accountant to join our fast‑paced media finance team on a six‑month fixed‑term contract. You will work closely with internal finance, legal and commercial teams as well as external agents and broadcasters to ensure accurate royalty calculations and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Process and calculate royalty payments in line with contracts for broadcasters, talent and third parties across multiple revenue streams.
• Maintain a centralised database of agreements, revenue shares and royalty schedules.
• Update and manage the title roster, focusing on key series.
• Generate and issue royalty statements accurately and on time.
• Support royalty cash‑forecasting by coordinating with Treasury and Commercial teams.
• Provide ad‑hoc royalty analysis as required.
• Interpret complex rights agreements and royalty clauses to ensure correct processing.
• Ensure compliance with industry bodies such as Equity and PACT.
• Collaborate with Legal and Business Affairs to resolve contract‑related queries.
• Act as primary liaison for assigned rights holders and talent representatives.
• Support audit processes by supplying relevant royalty documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience working in royalties, preferably within TV or media.
• Strong understanding of high‑volume royalty payouts and contract interpretation.
• Process‑driven mindset with a proactive attitude toward continuous improvement.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
