RVP, Public Sector Sales

About the role

SailPoint, a leader in identity security, is seeking a Senior Sales Leader (Public Sector) to sell its Identity Governance and Access (IGA) solution suite, primarily a SaaS offering. The role leads the public sector sales team and exercises matrix leadership over supporting functions, working with channel partners alongside direct sales to end users.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of sales professionals who sell directly to end users and use channel partners to sell the IGA solution suite.
• Bring structure and rigour to the sales process, including pipeline and forecasting, while inspiring the team.
• Onboard and evaluate the reporting structure (People, Process, Cadence, Structure) and the install base, customers and partners.
• Build a 12-month and then a 3-year business plan, present it to the manager and the regional leadership team, and confirm start dates for new hires.
• Work with talent acquisition to fill open requisitions and with marketing and partners to find white-space opportunities, new logos and customers with compliance or governance needs.
• Keep the pipeline at 3x quota and maintain accurate forecasting.

Required profile

• Successful track record leading sales teams in high-growth SaaS or cyber-security organisations.
• Ideally experience leading sales during a transition from on-premise to SaaS.
• Ability to articulate the SailPoint value proposition and to drive business growth in a region.
