Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Advisor

About the role

We are seeking a Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Advisor to provide regional support to the Divisional SHE Director. You will help implement and supervise the company’s SHE policy, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all employees and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site visits and audits to verify compliance with procedures and standards.
• Provide SHE advice during tender and construction phases.
• Investigate and report all RIDDOR‑reportable accidents and occurrences.
• Notify relevant statutory bodies of notifiable incidents.
• Attend quarterly performance reviews and produce bimonthly regional reports.
• Deliver regional SHE training and support regional management in safety discussions.
• Develop and implement SHE systems to maintain high standards of performance and compliance.
• Promote a positive SHE culture and identify opportunities for improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a SHE role.
• Detailed knowledge of SHE legislation.
• NEBOSH certification (or willingness to work towards it).
• Member of IOSH.
• Valid driving licence.
• Experience conducting audits, accident investigations and liaising with statutory bodies.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and conflict‑resolution abilities.
