Salaried GP – 4 Sessions per Week in Markinch, Fife

About the role

We are seeking a salaried General Practitioner to join a friendly, patient‑centred team in Markinch, Fife. The position offers four clinical sessions per week within a well‑supported practice serving around 6,200 patients from Markinch, Glenrothes and surrounding villages.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality primary care through 15‑minute patient appointments.
• Participate in a shared duty doctor rota and provide out‑of‑hours coverage as required.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including partners, nurses, pharmacists, district nurses and mental health specialists.
• Contribute to teaching activities for ST1 and ST3 trainees.
• Maintain accurate patient records and complete protected administration time.

Required profile

• Fully qualified GP registered with the GMC.
• Commitment to a patient‑centred, collaborative working style.
• Willingness to work four sessions per week and engage in on‑call duties.
• Interest in supporting training and mentorship of junior doctors.

Required skills

• Clinical assessment and diagnosis in primary care.
• Effective communication with patients and multidisciplinary team members.
• Proficiency in NHS electronic health record systems.
