Sales Agent – Travel Insurance (Cardiff)

About the role

AllClear Travel Insurance is seeking motivated Sales Agents to join its Cardiff contact centre. You will handle inbound enquiries from customers looking to purchase travel insurance, including those with pre‑existing medical conditions, and help them travel with confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound sales enquiries from customers wanting travel insurance.
• Ask relevant questions to understand travel plans and medical history.
• Explain policy features, cover levels, exclusions and pricing clearly.
• Support returning customers with renewals and policy updates.
• Work towards sales and performance targets, including conversion rates and Gross Written Premium.
• Develop strong knowledge of products, systems and underwriting requirements.
• Participate in coaching sessions, call reviews and ongoing training.
• Collaborate with colleagues and team leaders to share best practice.
• Ensure all activity complies with FCA regulations, Consumer Duty and company policies.

Required profile

• Sales mindset – motivated by targets and strong results.
• Contact centre experience – experience in a busy, customer‑focused environment is desirable.
• Great communicator – able to build rapport quickly and explain information clearly.
• Empathetic approach – comfortable discussing sensitive medical information professionally.
• Tech confident – able to navigate multiple systems while managing calls efficiently.
