Sales Assistant – Part‑time Retail Role

About the role

Topps Tiles is the UK’s leading tile retailer, operating over 280 stores nationwide. As a Sales Assistant (internally called a Service Specialist) you will join a small, supportive team helping customers visualise and realise their home projects. The role is part‑time, includes some weekend work and offers commission on every sale.

Key responsibilities

• Build long‑standing relationships with trade and retail customers using a consultative sales approach.
• Ask the right questions to understand customer needs and recommend the best products.
• Inspire customers with colour, style, layout and design ideas.
• Drive sales through expert product knowledge and confident closing.
• Maintain store standards and assist with stock handling, including lifting heavy boxes.

Required profile

• Outgoing, friendly and energetic personality.
• Willingness to learn and develop sales confidence, even with no prior retail experience.
• Ability to lift heavy boxes and perform physical tasks.
