Sales Assistant – Trade Counter & Warehouse

About the role

We are Wolseley, a leading specialist trade merchant in the UK and Ireland, looking for a motivated Sales Assistant to join our Kingscross branch. You will work on the trade counter and support warehouse operations, helping customers find the right products and ensuring smooth order fulfilment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve customers at the trade counter, understand their requirements and provide product recommendations and quotations.
• Respond promptly to enquiries by phone and email with a courteous, proactive attitude.
• Perform general warehouse duties, including booking incoming stock, putting away inventory, and picking & packing customer orders.
• Handle manual lifting of heavy items safely and efficiently.

Required profile

• Previous face‑to‑face sales and customer service experience.
• Warehouse experience is advantageous.
• Team‑player who is happy to assist across all areas of the branch.
• Eagerness to learn, positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Comfortable with manual handling of heavy items.

Required skills

• Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
