Sales Director

About the role

Thought Machine is seeking a Sales Director to lead new‑business acquisition across mid‑market, regional and challenger banks in the EMEA region. You will champion the company’s cloud‑native core and payments platform, helping banks accelerate their digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high‑impact proposals tailored to Tier 2‑5 banks’ digital transformation goals.
• Own end‑to‑end lead generation, from prospect identification to stakeholder mapping.
• Navigate and influence key decision‑makers to accelerate the sales cycle.
• Consistently exceed EMEA sales targets for software licensing and professional services.
• Collaborate with sales engineering, delivery and marketing to run agile, segment‑specific campaigns.
• Prioritise high‑velocity opportunities while building deep partnerships with regional players.
• Design and execute a market expansion plan for Tier 2‑5 banks across EMEA.

Required profile

• Established network within Tier 2‑5 banks, building societies or challenger banks across EMEA.
• Proven experience selling enterprise software in the fintech sector.
• Track record of closing large‑scale software licensing and professional services deals.
• Strong ability to build consensus among multiple stakeholders.
