Sales Director – Profit Centre Lead (£70k+ package)

About the role

The Sales Director will act as Profit Centre Lead for a £9m+ standalone profit centre within a £1bn+ group. Based in Milton Keynes, you will have full P&L ownership and be responsible for driving turnover, margin and long‑term growth strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Set and deliver the growth strategy for the profit centre.
• Own and drive the P&L, ensuring year‑on‑year revenue and margin improvement.
• Accelerate B2B sales performance and increase market share.
• Strengthen and manage global supplier relationships.
• Build, lead and develop a high‑performing sales team.
• Optimise operations, governance and operational excellence (OTIF, stock, service).

Required profile

• Proven experience owning and growing a P&L.
• Strong B2B commercial leadership background.
• Strategic thinking combined with operational grip.
• Senior‑level supplier negotiation experience.
• Track record of driving margin and revenue growth.
• Experience leading and developing high‑performing teams.
