Analog Devices is looking for a Sales Director to lead its commercial growth strategy across the UK and Northern Europe, with responsibility for scaling revenues to €45m within the next three years. The role owns the full sales function, from pipeline generation and deal execution to tender management and framework awards, and aims to secure major DSO framework contracts while building a scalable sales organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Grow UK and Northern European revenue to €45m in three years and expand the sales footprint across the region.
- Build relationships with senior procurement, innovation and operations teams at DSOs and secure at least eight long-term framework agreements with DSOs and white-label partners.
- Structure and lead a high-performing sales team, set KPIs and commission frameworks, and mentor pre-sales and business development staff.
- Oversee tender qualification, response writing, commercial modelling and negotiation, and lead contract negotiations and framework onboarding.
- Lead business development of white-label partnerships and ecosystem relationships.
- Track regulatory changes and feed market insights into the product roadmap, and represent the company at industry events such as ENA, CIRED and Eurelectric.
Required profile
- Proven track record in grid technology sales and partnerships, preferably in LV monitoring, smart grid devices or related digitalisation technologies for DSOs.
- Senior-level experience closing multi-million euro framework deals with regulated utilities.
- Deep knowledge of UK and European DSO procurement models (Ofgem, RIIO-ED2, ENA standards) and familiarity with Northern European and EU utility regulation.
- Experience recruiting, mentoring and managing sales and pre-sales teams across several countries and geographies.
- Ability to build strategic relationships with utilities, partners and stakeholders across the UK and Northern Europe.
Required skills
- Tender preparation, negotiation and contract award processes.
- Designing and leading sales processes (pipeline, CRM, forecasting).
- Export licensing review may be required for applicants who need access to technical data.
The role is based home office, with about 10% travel, and is open to experienced candidates. The first six months focus on establishing a qualified pipeline, securing trial commitments and delivering market intelligence reports.
