Sales Engineer (Heavy Plant / Industrial)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Sales Engineer with experience in heavy plant and industrial equipment. You will work autonomously, managing your own schedule, diagnosing technical issues on‑site and creating new business opportunities while receiving full training on specialist torque and hydraulic equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site assessments and fault finding for torque and non‑torque applications.
• Travel to customer locations—including ships, submarines and wind turbines—to provide technical assistance and drive sales.
• Maintain and organise your own diary covering a Northwestern patch.
• Recommend appropriate testing and measurement equipment to clients.
• Work Monday‑Thursday 8‑5 and Friday 8‑4.

Required profile

• Background as a Sales Engineer in the plant or heavy‑industrial sector.
• Strong understanding of torque concepts and equipment.
• Desire for a field‑based role covering the Northwest of England.

Required skills

• Torque testing and measurement.
• Hydraulic press operation.
• Fault finding and technical troubleshooting.
