Sales Executive – Customer‑focused Business Development

About the role

We are seeking a motivated, customer‑focused Sales Executive to join our growing sales team in Cheltenham. The role involves building relationships, developing new business opportunities and delivering excellent customer experiences to support our continued growth.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, dealers and distributors.
• Proactively follow up sales enquiries and opportunities generated through sales and marketing channels.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate product solutions.
• Prepare quotations and accurately process customer orders.
• Maintain accurate customer records, opportunities and activities within the CRM system.
• Support growth of existing accounts while identifying new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Marketing teams to meet customer requirements.
• Respond promptly to customer enquiries via telephone, email and online channels.
• Assist with customer visits, product demonstrations, trade shows and industry events.
• Provide management with customer feedback, market trends and competitor activity.
• Contribute ideas to improve sales processes, customer experience and overall business performance.

• Ability to learn technical products and communicate their benefits effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using CRM systems; Salesforce experience is advantageous.
