Sales Tendering Specialist - 12M Maternity Cover

About the role

The Sales Tendering Specialist (Tender Repairs Specialist) handles customer inquiries, prepares quotations, manages tender documentation and coordinates with field sales and technical teams to ensure smooth sales processes. This office‑based, target‑driven role focuses on converting enquiries into sales and supporting tender submissions during a 12‑month maternity cover.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email or online platforms, providing product information and guidance on lift solutions.
• Generate accurate and competitive quotes for lift installations, repairs, modernisations and maintenance contracts.
• Assist in preparing and submitting tender documents, ensuring compliance with client requirements and deadlines.
• Maintain records of customer interactions, quotations and sales activities using CRM systems.
• Collaborate with field sales representatives, engineers and project managers to support sales efforts and resolve queries.
• Track and follow up on quotations and proposals to convert leads into sales.
• Provide regular updates and reports on sales activity, pipeline status and customer feedback.

Required profile

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in sales or sales support, preferably in a technical or engineering environment.
• Ability to understand and explain technical products and services.
• Proactive, collaborative team player with strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of lift industry standards and terminology (preferred but not essential).
