School Administrator – Primary School (Temp-to-Perm)

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Slough for a School Administrator on a temporary‑to‑permanent basis. The role supports the day‑to‑day running of the school office, providing efficient administration and high‑quality customer service to pupils, parents, staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update pupil records using SIMS.
• Provide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team and school staff.
• Answer telephone and email enquiries professionally.
• Welcome parents, visitors and pupils and manage front‑desk duties.
• Produce reports, letters, newsletters, posters and promotional materials using Canva.
• Support admissions, attendance and general pupil administration.
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper filing systems.
• Assist with school events, parent communications and marketing activities.
• Handle confidential information in line with GDPR requirements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a school administration role.
• Strong working knowledge of SIMS.
• Excellent IT proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience creating professional communications with Canva.
• Outstanding organisational and communication abilities.
• Professional, friendly manner with parents, pupils and colleagues.
• High attention to detail and data accuracy.
