Science Teacher – Harris Academy Beulah Hill

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Science Teacher to join Harris Academy Beulah Hill in September 2026. The role involves teaching across the full secondary age range, from Year 7 through to Sixth Form, inspiring students to pursue STEM pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Teach science across Year 7 to Sixth Form, delivering both practical and theoretical lessons.
• Plan and assess curriculum in line with national standards and Harris Academy expectations.
• Support student progress, provide feedback and prepare learners for university and STEM careers.
• Contribute to the wider academy community, including extracurricular science activities and Sixth Form initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or a related scientific discipline.
• Strong classroom management and safeguarding awareness.
• Commitment to inclusive, high-quality teaching and continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Ability to deliver engaging practical science experiments.
• Proficiency in using standard classroom ICT resources for lesson planning and assessment.
