About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join a mainstream secondary school in Newham, London. The role starts in September and is a full‑time, permanent position focused on delivering engaging science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess science curriculum for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Utilise Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to enhance classroom learning.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and the science department to maintain high teaching standards.
- Maintain effective classroom and behaviour management.
- Communicate progress and expectations with parents and carers.
Required profile
- Previous experience teaching science to KS3/KS4 students in the UK.
- Relevant science‑related degree.
- Teaching qualification such as QTS or QTLS preferred.
- Proactive, innovative and able to engage students in varied ways.
- Positive attitude, high motivation and strong communication skills.
