Science Teacher – Secondary Schools (Southampton)

About the role
We are seeking qualified Science Teachers to join a pool of educators for secondary schools in Southampton, with placements expected from September 2026. Teachers will work across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of delivering Key Stage 5 lessons in some schools.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned Science lessons for mixed‑ability classes.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Contribute to departmental planning, whole‑school initiatives and extracurricular activities.
- Support inclusive teaching practices and adapt resources to meet diverse learner needs.
Required profile
- Qualified Science Teacher status (QTS or equivalent).
- Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or General Science.
- Commitment to inclusive, high‑quality teaching.
- Willingness to participate in the wider school community.
- Valid enhanced DBS (support available if required).
