Scientific Communication Officer – Life Sciences

About the role

This position has arisen as the company expands its international collaborations and scientific outreach. The Scientific Communication Officer will join a research‑focused organisation in Oxford, creating and delivering high‑quality scientific content for audiences ranging from specialists to the general public.

Key responsibilities

• Produce scientific articles, briefs, and presentations that translate complex research into clear messages.
• Manage and grow the company’s social media channels, website content and digital assets.
• Plan and support scientific events, webinars and outreach activities.
• Collaborate with research teams worldwide to ensure accurate and timely communication of findings.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate qualification in structural biology or a related life‑sciences discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience in scientific writing and editing.
• Experience creating digital content and familiarity with social media or web design is advantageous.
• International work experience or knowledge of a second European language is desirable but not essential.
