Seasonal General Operative

About the role

Join the Transportation team in Wymondham as a Seasonal General Operative, supporting safe movement of vehicles, plant and people on site for a fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, use of PPE and traffic management procedures, and communicate with team members and supervisors.
• Assist drivers with loading and unloading materials, tools and equipment while maintaining written and electronic records.
• Help operate excavators and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently, following company policies, time‑keeping and attendance rules.
• Record and report any incidents or accidents on site and keep equipment and vehicles clean and functional.
• Support set‑up and breakdown of work sites and carry out any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.

Required profile

• Full driving licence, current CSCS card and experience operating heavy machinery.
• Previous experience in construction or labour roles with good knowledge of health and safety regulations and strong communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills, work shifts and be available for overtime when required.
