Secondary General Cover Teacher – Flexible Supply Role

About the role

This is a temporary supply teaching opportunity for secondary students in Slough. You will work on a daily or block basis, covering KS3‑KS4 classes as needed. The role offers flexibility to teach when and where you prefer.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain student engagement and keep lessons on track.
• Provide additional support to pupils who need extra help.
• Follow each school’s policies and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt quickly to new classroom settings and ensure safety at all times.
• Give constructive feedback to school staff about class progress.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Recent experience in a UK classroom, preferably at secondary level.
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
