About the role
We are recruiting an enthusiastic Music Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Slough. The role starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging music lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Potentially teach music at Key Stage 5, depending on experience.
- Develop students' performance, composition, listening and music technology skills.
- Contribute to school concerts, productions and extracurricular music activities.
- Monitor progress and implement strategies to achieve excellent outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Performing Arts team to enhance the curriculum.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching music in a secondary school setting.
- Commitment to high standards and inclusive education.
- Strong communication, organisational and classroom management abilities.
Required skills
- Deep knowledge of practical and theoretical music.
- Proficiency with music technology and digital music production tools.
