Secondary Supply Teacher (KS3 & KS4) – Redditch

About the role

Prospero Teaching is looking for enthusiastic secondary supply teachers to cover KS3 and KS4 classes across a range of schools in Redditch. The role offers daily, short‑term and long‑term placements, giving you flexibility to fit teaching around other commitments or to progress into a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons across KS3 and KS4 in your specialist subject or provide general cover.
• Follow school policies and procedures to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
• Assess, monitor and support student progress where required.
• Create a positive, inclusive and well‑managed classroom environment.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff and the wider school community.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) – essential.
• Experience teaching in a UK secondary school setting.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training (or willingness to complete a free course provided).
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS with the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Two professional child‑related references covering the last two years.
