Securities Finance Trader – EMEA Capital Markets

About the role

This position is part of Marex’s fast‑growing Capital Markets group, focusing on the EMEA Securities Finance business. You will be responsible for generating revenue by identifying and executing trading opportunities across equities and fixed‑income instruments while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and execute Securities Finance trading opportunities across EMEA equities and fixed‑income markets.
• Provide pricing for Stock Borrowing, Lending, and Financing markets to external counterparties and internal teams.
• Assist management in managing risks associated with the Securities Finance business.
• Correspond directly with banks, hedge funds, market makers, and fund managers.
• Onboard new client relationships and maintain existing ones, providing ongoing support.
• Collaborate with Operations, Technology, and other central functions supporting the trading role.
• Analyse markets and products to develop strategies that increase P&L.
• Ensure compliance with FCA regulatory requirements and internal risk frameworks.
• Model the highest standards of integrity, conduct, and adherence to company values.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of securities finance, stock borrowing/lending, and financing markets.
• Experience interacting with institutional clients such as banks, hedge funds, and market makers.
• Ability to manage risk and comply with FCA regulations.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Proactive attitude toward revenue generation and performance management.
