Security Architect (Government Asset)

About the role

We are seeking a self‑motivated Security Architect with SC (preferably DV) clearance to lead the design and delivery of enhanced security services for a critical government asset. The role is based in London, four days a week on‑site, and operates on an outside IR35 contract.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and assure technical security designs, justifying and communicating decisions to stakeholders.
• Design architectures using leading‑edge technologies in the Tier 2/3 security space.
• Set strategic direction for security architecture and develop frameworks to manage technical risk.
• Recommend and implement security controls that align with business objectives.
• Analyse subtle security needs, assess vulnerability impact, and advise on technology changes.
• Provide specialist advice across teams and manage stakeholder expectations.

Required profile

• SC cleared (DV preferred) and experienced in security architecture for high‑threat environments.
• Strong technical background with knowledge of attack vectors across proprietary and open‑source stacks.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a pragmatic approach to delivering change.
• Ability to work within a specialist services company and collaborate with internal Security Governance groups.
