Security Consultant

About the role

eFinancialCareers is seeking Security Consultants to join its growing cybersecurity practice. You will work on high‑profile transformation programmes for Defence, Central Government, Healthcare and other public‑sector organisations, helping them design secure solutions and manage cyber risk.

Key responsibilities

• Design secure architectures for enterprise IT and digital transformation projects.
• Advise clients on cybersecurity best practices, frameworks and regulatory standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
• Conduct security and risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations.
• Support security assurance and governance activities throughout project lifecycles.
• Produce security documentation, architecture artefacts and risk reports.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, delivery teams and senior stakeholders.
• Research emerging threats and promote innovative security solutions.

Required profile

• Experience in cyber security consulting, security architecture or security risk management.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP or SABSA are desirable but not mandatory.
• Eligibility to work in the UK as a sole UK national.
