Security Threat Specialist – Cyber & Insider Threats

About the role

We are looking for a Security Threat Specialist to join G-Research’s Research Lab in Central London. You will work closely with cyber‑security, incident‑response and vulnerability‑assessment teams to identify, analyse and remediate cyber and insider threats across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform in‑depth reviews of systems and processes to uncover security weaknesses and control gaps.
• Author technical security documentation, threat models and implementation guidance.
• Provide detailed design advice and security recommendations for applications, services, infrastructure and processes.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security, Incident Response and Vulnerability Assessment teams to validate findings and coordinate remediation.
• Support risk‑management decisions, audit points and compliance monitoring.
• Assist developers and system administrators in designing and evaluating secure solutions.
• Automate threat‑hunting activities to maintain confidence in the security posture.
• Develop and deliver training and awareness programmes to raise security knowledge across the business.
• Drive secure‑by‑design improvements that balance security with user experience.

Required profile

• Hands‑on contributor with a proven track record of excellence in a security specialist area.

• Proactive, initiative‑driven and comfortable making justified commercial decisions.
