Semi Senior Tax – Personal Tax Specialist

About the role
We are seeking a Semi‑Senior Tax professional to join a growing accountancy practice in Swindon. The role starts on a six‑month fixed‑term basis, with the possibility of extension, and offers a hybrid working model.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and submit UK Self Assessment tax returns for a diverse client portfolio.
- Review client information, identify missing details and request additional documentation as needed.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client tax queries, delivering timely and professional responses.
- Manage personal deadlines and ensure accurate completion of work within agreed timescales.
- Collaborate with the wider tax team to support departmental objectives.
- Review work produced by junior team members and provide constructive feedback.
Required profile
- Previous practice experience preparing UK Self Assessment tax returns.
- Strong knowledge of UK personal tax legislation and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
