Semi-skilled Machine Operator – Wakefield

About the role

Join Wakefield Operations, the largest soft‑drink plant in Europe, as a Semi‑skilled Machine Operator. You will receive full training to operate, monitor and maintain our highly automated filling, packing and palletising lines on a 24‑hour shift pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and set‑up filling, packing and palletising machines under supervision.
• Handle raw materials and load equipment using safe manual‑handling techniques.
• Perform basic fault finding, corrective actions and routine maintenance.
• Inspect product and packaging quality on‑line and record measurements.
• Collaborate with Quality, Health, Environment and Sustainability teams to maintain hygiene standards.
• Monitor performance data, report issues and suggest improvements to reduce waste.

Required profile

• Practical, hands‑on attitude with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to learn new skills and follow training programmes.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and a strong drive for results.
