SEN Primary Teaching Assistant – September 2026 Opportunities

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic SEN Primary Teaching Assistants to join supportive primary schools in Tonbridge and the surrounding area from September 2026. The role offers flexible arrangements, from daily supply work to longer‑term contracts, in both part‑time and full‑time capacities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a primary school setting.
• Assist teachers in delivering tailored activities for children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and other additional needs.
• Help create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes each child’s progress.

Required profile

• At least 2 years’ experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school (preferred).
• Confidence working with a range of needs such as autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech‑language challenges.
• Patient, adaptable and committed to helping every child reach their potential.
• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable) or equivalent experience.
• Right to work in the UK and willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check (or already on the Update Service).
