SEN SLD Primary & Secondary Teacher – Croydon

About the role

Hays Education is recruiting qualified teachers to join a specialist SEN SLD school in the Croydon area. You will work with both primary and secondary pupils who have complex learning difficulties, autism spectrum conditions and social‑emotional needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated, inclusive lessons for primary and secondary students.
• Support pupils’ academic progress as well as their social and emotional development.
• Collaborate closely with the SEN team, teaching assistants and other support staff.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to individual education plans.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience working in a primary or secondary SEN setting.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS on the update service.

Required skills

• Knowledge of SEN legislation and best practice.
• Ability to design differentiated curriculum.
