SEN Support Worker – Education Support Role

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Support Worker to join a highly regarded special educational needs school in Lewisham. You will work on a full‑time, long‑term basis supporting students aged 13‑16 (KS3 and KS4) on a 1:1 basis, focusing on moderate learning difficulties (MLD) and autism.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one learning assistance to SEN students during classroom lessons.
• Support pupils in extracurricular activities and outings outside the school setting.
• Collaborate with on‑site therapists, including physiotherapists and occupational therapists, to reinforce student well‑being.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and daily activities.

Required profile

• Previous experience working within a SEN or special educational needs environment.
• Enhanced DBS clearance (and overseas police checks if applicable).
• Professional references and a CV covering the last ten years of employment.
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
