SEN Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join Queensmead House School, an independent specialist day school in Windsor. You will work with children and young people who have Autism Spectrum Disorder and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, helping them develop skills, confidence and academic progress.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess personalised lessons for pupils with complex SEND needs.
• Collaborate with in‑house psychologists, teaching assistants and therapy professionals to implement individual education plans.
• Monitor pupil progress, adjust strategies and maintain accurate records.
• Promote a safe, inclusive classroom environment and support positive behaviour.
• Engage with parents and carers to discuss development and celebrate "huge small victories".

Required profile

• Resilient, compassionate and committed to the wellbeing of young people.
• Experience or strong interest in working with autistic and SEND learners.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of SEND legislation and best practices.
• Effective lesson planning and differentiation techniques.
• Strong communication and record‑keeping abilities.
