SEN Teacher – Primary ASD/SLD Class (Twickenham)

About the role
We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join a newly‑opened primary autism and specific learning difficulty (SLD) class in Twickenham. The role starts at the beginning of the May academic year and will involve setting up and leading a mixed KS2/3 class working at KS1 level for pupils with moderate to complex autism.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and co‑ordinate multi‑sensory lessons for a class of five pupils.
- Develop and implement a sensory curriculum tailored to individual learning needs.
- Assess pupil progress, produce reports and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with the Head of Learning Support, HLTA and two full‑time TAs.
- Liaise with parents, external agencies and senior leadership to ensure holistic support.
Required profile
- Proven experience working with children on the autism spectrum and/or SLD.
- Strong commitment to pupil progress and inclusive education.
- Effective communication and line‑management skills.
- Ability to work within a supportive, collaborative school environment.
