SEN Teacher – Primary School (Part‑time)

About the role
We are looking for an experienced SEN Teacher to join a warm, nurturing primary school in Smethwick. The role is part‑time within the school’s specialist provision, supporting 12‑14 pupils in EYFS and Key Stage 1 with complex additional needs.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver highly differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with complex SEN needs.
- Create a calm, sensory‑aware learning environment.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff to maintain consistent routines and interventions.
- Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and developmental learning.
- Contribute to EHCP targets and keep accurate progress records.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Strong experience working with children who have high‑level SEN needs.
- Confidence supporting pupils with communication difficulties, sensory needs and developmental delays.
- Patient, resilient and compassionate approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively with TAs and leadership.
