SEN Teacher – Therapeutic Education (Farm-Based)

About the role
We are seeking a passionate SEN Teacher to join a therapeutic education team that uses animals, nature and outdoor learning to engage young people aged 11‑17. This senior position allows you to design and deliver a bespoke, cross‑curricular curriculum in a farm‑based setting.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver creative, cross‑curricular lessons tailored to individual Education and Care Plans.
- Design and implement personalised learning programmes for learners with diverse needs.
- Monitor and report on educational attainment across the provision.
- Support and mentor staff to integrate education into therapeutic activities.
- Utilise farm animals, outdoor spaces and experiential activities to enhance engagement and wellbeing.
- Help students achieve academic and personal development goals through innovative learning experiences.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Minimum of one year teaching experience.
- Enthusiasm for therapeutic, outdoor and animal‑assisted education.
- Ability to work flexibly across multiple sites (West Horsley and Shamley Green).
