About the role
We are partnering with a welcoming primary school in Brent to recruit an experienced SEN Teacher for the September 2026 start date. The role combines two days of dedicated teaching for a high‑needs Year 3 class with three days supporting the school SENCo, providing targeted interventions and personalised support.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver inclusive, high‑quality lessons to small groups of pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- Design and implement personalised interventions based on assessment data.
- Assist the SENCo in monitoring progress, updating SEN plans, and liaising with external agencies.
- Collaborate with class teachers, support staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure consistent support.
- Stay current with SEN legislation, research, and best practice through ongoing professional development.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching or supporting pupils with SEN across the primary phase (EYFS, KS1, KS2).
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Reflective, proactive team player with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Required skills
- Knowledge of SEN legislation and intervention strategies.
- Ability to analyse assessment data to inform personalised learning plans.
- Effective collaboration with teachers, parents, and external agencies.
