SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support in EYFS (A6 Corridor)

About the role

We are looking for a caring and patient SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a non‑verbal pupil in an EYFS classroom located in the A6 Corridor, Lancashire. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 am‑3:30 pm, covering the full academic year with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑to‑one assistance to the pupil throughout the school day, supporting communication, learning and social development.
• Provide personal care, including toileting and hygiene, as required.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored support strategies.
• Encourage the pupil’s participation in classroom activities and routines.
• Maintain accurate observations and feedback on progress.

Required profile

• Experience working with children in an EYFS or primary setting.
• Patient, compassionate and resilient attitude.
• Confidence in supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to undertake personal care duties.
