SEN Teaching Assistant (Graduate Role)

About the role

This graduate position offers a hands‑on introduction to special educational needs support within a specialist school. You will work alongside experienced teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals, helping children and young people aged 6‑19 with autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, communication needs and SEMH.

Key responsibilities

• Support students in the classroom and throughout the school day.
• Deliver tailored one‑to‑one and small‑group assistance.
• Promote communication, emotional wellbeing and independence.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
• Provide personal care where required.

Required profile

• Passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
• Considering a career in psychology, therapy, education or mental health.
• Patient, resilient and eager to learn.
• Strong communicator who works well as part of a team.
• Essential: GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
